You're not imagining it

Is this your skin?

The spots makeup won't cover anymore

Foundation sits on top of the pigmentation instead of hiding it - and by mid-afternoon the patches show through again. Concealing it has quietly become part of your routine.

Skin that looks tired when you're not

Eight hours' sleep, same dull, uneven tone in the mirror. It's often not fatigue - it's pigment and sun damage flattening the brightness your skin used to have.

"Freckles" that turned into patches

What was cute at 25 has spread and darkened. Every Australian summer added a little more - and creams can't reach where that pigment sits.

A face and neck that no longer match

The neck is where sun damage shows first and gets treated last - most clinics charge separately for it, so it never gets done. Here, it's included.

Photos where you look older than you feel

Outdoor light, daylight photos, the front camera - they all show the unevenness the bathroom mirror softens. You've started angling away from the lens, and you've noticed yourself doing it.

A drawer of serums that promised this exact result

Vitamin C, niacinamide, the brightening range, the expensive one your friend swore by. Some helped a little. None reached the pigment - because they physically can't.

Here's what nobody told you: it's often not wrinkles making skin look older - it's uneven pigment. And skincare alone can't reach it.

What clients tell us they actually want is simple: skin that looks even in daylight, makeup that's optional instead of necessary, and a face and neck that match again. That's what this treatment is designed to work toward.

What most clinics won't tell you

Why your serums never stood a chance

  • Skincare works at the surface. The pigment behind sun spots and uneven tone sits deeper than creams and serums are designed to reach - no matter what the label promises.
  • Not every "pico" is picosecond. Some clinics run older laser tech under the pico name. Ours is a genuine picosecond device - TGA-registered, with 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths for different pigment concerns.
  • The neck is where it shows - and where clinics charge extra. Some Australian clinics price the neck at $400+ on its own. We treat face and neck together, because that's how sun exposure actually happens.
  • Sun protection decides your results. Any clinic that doesn't talk to you about SPF after laser is skipping the part that makes results last. We won't.

General comparison of treatment categories. Skincare and facials still have their place - pico is designed for the pigment they can't reach. Results vary.
How it works - in plain English

Why pico reaches what creams can't

1

Ultra-short pulses target the pigment

The picosecond laser delivers ultra-short pulses of light, designed to target the pigment sitting deeper in the skin - the sun spots, freckles and uneven patches skincare can't reach.

2

Pigment is broken into tiny particles

Those pulses are designed to break the pigment into much smaller particles - with minimal heat compared to older laser technology, which is why there's no peeling recovery.

3

Your body clears them naturally

Over the following weeks, your body's natural processes gradually clear those particles away - which is why skin tone typically looks brighter and more even over time. Results vary between individuals.

Performed on the PS900 picosecond laser - TGA-registered, operated by trained therapists, with eye protection and a skin analysis before every treatment.
More even-looking tone
Brighter, fresher appearance
Softened look of sun spots
Smoother-looking texture
Face AND neck together
30 minutes, same-day normal

Results vary between individuals and skin types. Suitability assessed at your appointment.

Honest expectations

What you'll notice - and when

We'd rather tell you exactly what to expect than overpromise. Here's the honest version.

Right after

Mild warmth and some redness for a few hours is normal. No needles, no peeling recovery - most clients go straight back to their day.

The first days

Treated spots can look slightly darker before they begin to fade. That's normal and expected - it's the process working, not going wrong. We'll walk you through it.

The following weeks

As your body clears the pigment, tone typically looks brighter and more even. Some pigmentation benefits from a short course of sessions - we'll give you a straight answer about yours.

Good questions

Before you book

Does it hurt?+
Most clients describe quick, warm flicks or snaps against the skin - very manageable, and over quickly. There are no needles, and we can adjust settings for your comfort at any point.
Is there any downtime?+
Mild redness for a few hours is common, and most clients return to their normal day straight after. Treated spots can look slightly darker for a few days before fading - that's a normal part of the process. Daily SPF afterwards is essential, and we'll show you exactly what to do.
How many sessions will I need?+
Honest answer: it depends on the type and depth of your pigmentation. Some clients notice a change after their first session; many pigmentation concerns benefit from a short course. At your assessment we'll look at your skin and give you a straight answer - not a script.
Why is it $249 when other clinics charge $600-$1,400?+
It's introductory new-client pricing, capped at 5 spots per week - the treatment itself is identical to our full-price session.
Am I suitable?+
Many people bothered by sun spots, freckles or uneven tone are good candidates, but suitability is always assessed before we treat. Some pigmentation types - like hormonal pigmentation (melasma) - need a more tailored approach. If pico isn't right for you, we'll tell you before we treat and recommend what is. Pico laser isn't performed during pregnancy.
What safety standards do you follow?+
Your treatment is performed on a TGA-registered picosecond laser by trained therapists, with eye protection, a skin analysis before treatment, clear consent, and written aftercare. That's the standard - every client, every time.
Is 30 minutes really enough for face AND neck?+
Yes. The picosecond applicator treats efficiently, so 30 minutes of focused treatment covers the full face and neck properly - following your skin assessment. It's a treatment designed around precision, not padding.
